This paper desbrices development of policy of Great Britain and the United States of America towards Germany during the presidency of Calvin Coolidge. It concentrates on analyzing said policy, its development and at last but not least, its consequences. It is focused,primarily, on the political aspect of said policy, in which Great Britain was, to some level, more active. But economical question is being dealt with as well. Also because of the fact that precisely during resolving the economical issues regarding the German question, the role of the United States was more active. In this work, there is chronologically described changing status of Germany. This proces took also place due to the policy( often mutual) of Great Britain and the United States. The author focused mostly on British or American view of said problemacy and tried to explain reasons that laid to policy, which was, in its time, critical.
Polish and Greek reparation claims from Germany after 1990

This thesis deals with reparations from Germany after World War II. The issue of post- war reparations has again become relevant in recent years, mainly due to Poland and Greece, two states occupied by the Third Reich during the war. Today, these states express dissatisfaction with the ration of reparations they received as dictated by the victorious powers after 1945. Moreover, since 2018, the Polish and Greek Reparation Commissions are cooperating in an effort to exert joint pressure on Germany. The subject of research of this bachelor thesis are the differences in the way in which states proceed with their reparation demands, what arguments they use and how the legitimacy of these claims is viewed by objective international law. Furthermore, the position of the government of Germany on this issue is briefly mentioned. In its first, theoretical part, the thesis contains a thorough description of the concept of reparations and describes the establishment of the reparation system after 1945, in order to clarify some important aspects of reparations after the Second World War. 1 Victims of the Gravest Crimes: The Role of Victims in Legal Proceedings Before the International Criminal Court Abstract This thesis analyzes the role of victims in the proceedings before the International Criminal Court, or the so-called victims' mandate of the ICC. The purpose is to comprehensively introduce their rights as well as the way in which this regulation is being applied. Therefore, the research question has two parts. The first part inquires into the current design of the victim's rights before the Court, while the second asks about the results of its application to the present day. Answers offered by the author of the thesis appear respectively in the second and the third chapter. The first chapter is focused on a historical development of the position of victims in the system of international criminal justice. It is of introductory nature and serves to highlight the historically unprecedented character of the role of victims before the ICC. Regarding the research method, the thesis analyzes the role of victims of crimes prosecuted by the ICC from both, theoretical as well as empirical angle. Negotiations on the claims of the Czechoslovak Republic for artworks from Austrian collections after the First World War

The text of contribution refers to negotiations of the Czechoslovak state after 1918 on the transfer from the Austrian collections the art and other collection items of the Czech origin. The negotiations with major co-ordinator being the Department of Ministry of Education and National Enlightenment took place mainly in 1919 to 1922. The major interest of Czechoslovak party included the transfer of the art works from the original collection of Rudolf II taken within the century item-by-item by Habsburgs to Vienna.
German hyperinflation after World War I., its development and causes

This thesis deals with German hyperinflation, which culminated in 1923. Some aspects of prior-war monetary and fiscal policy are mentioned in the introduction. The main subject of this thesis is focused on war economy and after-war period, identification of structural changes in the economy, which happened during this period, and it measures factors, which might directly or indirectly, caused inflations' origins. The goal of this thesis is analysis of impacts of governmental financial politics, analysis of influence of external factors and historical facts. German economy faced these historical facts and they subsequently influenced governmental politics during the whole period from the beginning of war till the end of hyperinflation and monetary reform in 1923. From the general view over the contemporary historical consequences and decisions of German government I am trying to identify direct and indirect causes of inflation and hyperinflation.
After-war economic crisis in the Weimar republic and the Dawes plan

The subject of this thesis is purposed to characterize both economic and political progress in Weimar republic since the end of World War I till the middle twenties. In this respect, it is a period when Germany, after several years of war struggle ending up as a defeated country, was raving in economic and internal political crisis and also had to face up a diplomatic isolation connected with tough peace conditions from Versailles. The main focus of this study is to analyze German economic depression contextualized with crucial historic events against background of then international diplomacy. Economic analysis is connected especially with explanation of huge hyperinflation, synchronous theoretic hypothesis that formed economic policy of German governments and their comparison with modern monetary economics. Being analyzed are not only causes of depression based in long-term debt funding of war, uncovered money emission and necessity of high reparation payments, but also the process and the way of its termination and overall consequences both political and socioeconomic. After abandonment of inflation episode follows solution of reparation payments adjustment which was necessary for future stabilization of Weimar Republic and final termination of German crisis. The way to stability was provided by London Conference and Dawes plan which are both analyzed in the last part of this thesis.
